Finding an option when everything was booked I was desperate and booked online last minute. After checking in I found the room was smelly - like they were trying to hide a bad smell strong.

The water smelled and the 30 year old carpet had too many cig burns to count. The bedding was sketchy as not sure when last wash took place.
I was pondering if I should bail and sleep in my car. Fortunately I found a room in Renfrew (over hour away). Even though I lost the payment on the room I protected my health and got a good night's sleep. If you're stranded...find a B and B or stay in your car. ANYTHING is better than this hole.

If you're going to stay in Kemptville, this is a great place to stay. To be perfectly honest most things are outdated, but the place was very tidy and clean. You can't find much better in Kemptville. Wifi worked well, and the breakfast was basic but got the job done. Staff was friendly. It's definitely not a 5 star hotel, but considering the cost and other options, I give it 5 because I was not dissatisfied with anything. TL;DR: If you just want a clean place and have an optimistic "make it work" attitude, this place will do just fine for you.
